Carolina Leid reports from Woodside, Queens.

WOODSIDE (WABC) -- Police say a lookout for a burglary was caught on camera lounging around in Queens.

Some neighbors are thinking it's time to get cameras too, because it can really help police catch the culprit.

Just another day on the job, Woodside residents say that's sure what it looks like.

A young man in a tee shirt and shorts is caught on surveillance video lounging on a stoop. It looks innocent right? Well police say he's the lookout for a burglary.

His buddy goes in through a back door, allegedly burglarizing a first floor apartment, and then later leaves with a bag in his hands.

"This is horrible you never know whom to trust," said Robin Kangilal, a resident.

It happened just before 3 Sunday afternoon on 37 Avenue in Woodside, Queens.

The suspects took off with electronics and jewelry.

Neighbors say burglaries are rare because they watch out for each other day and night.

"I'm surprised to hear about that. It's very safe in this neighborhood. I've never heard such a thing," said Marcia Zeas, a resident.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
