ARVERNE (WABC) -- A road rage dispute in Queens Tuesday involving a bus driver and another man resulted in the driver stabbing the man in the arm, authorities say.
The incident happened along Beach 67 Street and Beach Channel Drive in the Arverne section of the Rockaways just before 1:25 p.m.
The bus driver and the driver of a Honda got into some kind of dispute.
The victim jumped out of his vehicle at that location, and chased after the bus, which went around the corner.
The victim confronted the bus driver in front of a restaurant and police say the driver stabbed the other man in the arm with a pocket knife.
The victim, a 48-year old man, was taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.
The 30 year old driver was taken into custody, and charges against him are pending. His identity has not yet been released.
The bus was a Q52 that was out of service and headed to the JFK bus depot. There were no passengers on board at the time.
Detectives have determined this is not random, and that the victim somehow knows the bus driver's wife.
However, it is not clear if this was a planned attack or if it developed following the road dispute.
