NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. -- A couple is accused of dumping the body of their dead friend in the woods after posing for 'selfies' with the corpse and posted the pictures on Facebook.

According to court documents obtained by The Smoking Gun, Chelsie Berry, 24, told police her friend Dennis Meyer was acting "crazy" after taking a large amount of the pain killed Dilaudid. She called another friend she'd met just the night before to come help.

That friend, Jared Prier, 28, met Berry and Meyer in a McDonald's parking lot where they began doing drugs. At some point, Meyer died.

Court documents say Berry was too "scared to call for an ambulance and did not want to take Nathan to a hospital because she and Jared were high on meth and Xanax and thought they would get in trouble."

Instead, the couple drove to a wooded area where they posted Meyer's body and took pictures with the corpse. They then dragged the body "from the front seat to the back seat because they did not want to look at him any longer and also the fact that he began to smell bad."

Berry and Prier were charged after friend's saw the photos of Meyer's corpse on Facebook and called police. The couple now faces abandonment of a corpse charges.
