Donation jar stolen with money for cancer patient in New Jersey

LAKE COMO, New Jersey (WABC) -- A thief was caught on camera in New Jersey, stealing something that will break your heart.

The suspect took off with a donation jar with $1,200 meant for a cancer patient.

It happened at Benny's Burgers in Lake Como.

The masked thief took a collection jar for "Valerie Fund's Camp Happy Times" and also $400 cash from a money wall.
