BRONX
An Eyewitness News exclusive caught on camera, two people stealing ATV's from an auto body shop in the Bronx.
The owner says this is the first time in decades he's been robbed.
You can see the size of the garage window at the Personal Touch Auto Body Shop on Boston road in Bronxdale.
Surveillance video shows two young men who broke-in to the business on Memorial Day after one of them, the really skinny one climbed through the window and opened the garage from the inside.
"These two proceeded into the building and tried for a few minutes, 5-10 minutes, and tried to start these trikes that I have for sale," said Mike Trinagel.
Nagel's surveillance cameras captured the two thieves desperately trying to start the ATV's. And when that effort failed they simply wheeled the two vehicles up Boston Road. To make matters worse, the crime spree wasn't over.
That was at 1:40 in the morning. These brazen kids actually came back after 3:00 in the morning and stole a third trike. They couldn't get to a fourth one because it was blocked in between cars and a sign, the roll-in sign that we have.
The three ATV's are worth about $6,000. And while detectives from the 49th precinct look into what happened, Trinagel is offering a $2,000 reward for the return of the Trikes, and a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the two men.
