Father of teen fatally struck by car after prom in New Jersey receives son's high school diploma

NEWARK, New Jersey (WABC) -- It was an emotional moment in New Jersey Thursday night as a grieving father accepted his son's posthumous high school diploma.

Christopher Gibbs' father walked away quietly after being handed his son's diploma following the graduation ceremony at Barringer Academy of Arts and Humanities.

Gibbs, who was senior class president, was struck by a car and killed while heading home from prom earlier this month.
