Arriving flight at LaGuardia declares emergency due to bird strike

NEW YORK (WABC) -- An incoming flight to LaGuardia Airport declared an emergency earlier Wednesday due to a bird strike.

Officials say the aircraft involved was United Airlines flight 672 en route from Chicago.

The bird hit a plane 4 miles out from the aircraft and the pilot declared an emergency.

The plane landed safely with no injuries reported.
