Police are hoping surveillance video will lead to the arrest of a robbery suspect

ISLANDIA (WABC) -- Suffolk County police are looking for a man wanted in connection with a violent pharmacy robbery, and they're hoping surveillance video of the clerk's struggle with the suspect will lead to an arrest.

The incident happened just before 2 p.m. on March 9 at the Rite Aid on Veterans Memorial Highway.

Authorities say the suspect approached the cashier to purchase a soft drink, and when the employee opened the cash register, he struggled with her and grabbed money from the drawer.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
