BRIARWOOD, Queens (WABC) -- A high school community in Queens is finishing up an all-night relay to celebrate Karina Vetrano.

A Mass will be held at Archbishop Molloy High School in Briarwood, Queens, Saturday in her memory and a permanent memorial will be dedicated in her honor.

Vetrano's father paid tribute to his late daughter on Friday night, running with her track sneakers in hand at a relay event in her honor.

The event was held at Archbishop Molloy, where Karina graduated in 2004 and was a member of the track team.

Vetrano was jogging alone in Spring Creek Park in Howard Beach on Aug. 2, 2016, when she was attacked, sexually abused and strangled. Her body was discovered by her father and the police later that day lying in a marshy area.

Chanel Lewis faces 13 counts of murder and sexual abuse in the death of Vetrano.
