HARTFORD (WABC) -- A Connecticut teenager is back home with her family after investigators say she was kidnapped and taken on a multi-week trip around the country by a 53-year-old man.
Colorado resident Timothy Wind is facing kidnapping and sexual assault charges after investigators say he drove from Longmont, Colorado, to Hartford to get the 14-year-old girl in August.
They say he planned the abduction for more than a year.
The girl was found at his apartment in Colorado last week.
She says they met online and he took her on a "honeymoon" through New York, New Jersey and Kansas.
According to the arrest affidavit, a friend said the girl had been claiming to have a boyfriend named Tim for about a year.
