An Oklahoma man has been arrested for trying to set his own sister on fire.

EDMOND, OK -- A man has been arrested for trying to set his own sister on fire.

Police and firefighters in Oklahoma raced to a mobile home park after a frantic call to 9-1-1.

"Her brother had choked her out in her mobile home. She came to and he was dousing her with motor oil and tried to light it on fire," said Jenny Wagnon, Edmond Police Department.

Authorities say there was motor oil everywhere, but the victim was able to put the fire out herself with several buckets of water.

Neighbors and police say Young has a history of arson.

"We know that he's known by other residents for several other issues that have gone on. The sister told us he had lit some other things on fire previously in the area," said Jenny Wagnon.

KFOR reports that Jacob Young was arrested later that day when he returned to the scene of the crime to steal food from the mobile home he tried to burn down.

Young is being held at the Oklahoma County Jail and is facing charges of first-degree arson and domestic abuse.
