SUNNYSIDE, N.Y. (WABC) -- A man was arrested in connection with the robbery of an 81-year-old man at an ATM in October.

Thomas Fullwood, 29, of the Bronx, has been charged with two counts of robbery. Police said at the time that surveillance video showed those responsible for the attack.

William Eichhorn, 81, went to an ATM in Queens to get some cash on Oct. 26 and was suddenly attacked, punched and mugged.

Eichorn left Mass at St. Sebastian's Sunday and as he walked home, stopped at a cash machine. "Just about putting it in my pocket and these two guys came, one on either side, and said, 'Give it up,'" Eichhorn said.

But Eichhorn started yelling at the two men who had burst into the bank instead. "Next thing I know, the guy slammed me and I knew I couldn't do anything in the bank -- apparently because I had been screaming," Eichhorn said.

Eichhorn's face was bleeding, and he had scratches on his arm and leg. The men ran from the bank with $100, and left him on the floor of the bank.

"If these cowards are willing to punch an 81-year-old man and throw him on the ground once, they would be willing to do it again and that's why we have to catch them," City Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer said at the time.

"My jaw's a little sore and whatever, but otherwise I feel fine," Eichhorn said.
