WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police have arrested a man in connection with an assault on a woman in her Brooklyn apartment building Tuesday.

Hasson Durham, 21, of Brooklyn, is facing charges of attempted rape, stalking, sexually motivated burglary, forcible touching and sexual abuse.

The New York City Police Department released surveillance showing the 37-year-old victim being followed into her Williamsburg building near Driggs Avenue and South Eighth Street around 8:30 a.m.

Police said he stopped the woman in the stairwell and forcibly removed her pants and underwear, but when she screamed and began to fight, the predator ran away.

The NYPD announced Saturday that Durham had been arrested and charged.
