Man caught on video punching bus driver in the Bronx

BEDFORD PARK, Bronx (WABC) -- Police are searching for a man caught on camera punching a bus driver in the Bronx, and they're hoping surveillance video will lead to an arrest.

The incident happened just after 10 a.m. Saturday, August 20, at Jerome Avenue and West Bedford Park Boulevard in the Bedford Park section.

Authorities say the suspect boarded a Bee Line Bus at the intersection and engaged in a conversation with the 52-year-old male driver before punching him in the face and fleeing on foot.

The driver was transported to St. John's Hospital in stable condition.
