Bedford-Stuyvesant shooting leaves man dead

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A man was found shot to death outside the Brevoort Houses early Saturday morning.

Around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, police responded to a 911 call of a man shot outside 340 Bainbridge St., in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

The victim, identified as Charles Byrd, 26, of Brooklyn, was found with gunshot wounds to the torso. He was pronounced dead at Interfaith Hospital.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
