The robbery happened shortly after 5 p.m. on Sunday at Rockland Nails at 1341 Rockland Street.

Police say the suspect walked in and got his nails done.

When he was asked to pay, police say he instead pulled out a sawed-off shotgun and demanded money.

The man could be seen on surveillance video rummaging through drawers as workers ducked behind the counter.

He eventually grabbed an unknown amount of money and ran east down Rockland Street.

No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 30 to 40 years old with a stocky build. He's about six feet tall with a salt-and-pepper beard. He was wearing a gray hoodie, a dark baseball cap, dark plants and black & white sneakers.
