Queens attack leaves man dead, woman critical
Kristin Thorne has the latest on an attack in Queens that left a man dead and a woman critically injured.

RICHMOND HILL, Queens (WABC) -- A man was killed and his mother was injured in an early morning attack inside a home in Queens.

Police say the victims, a 37-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman, suffered severe puncture wounds to their head and body.

The attack happened at about 2 a.m. Sunday inside the family's home on 113th Street in Richmond Hill.

Police received a 911 call for an assault in progress.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman is recovering at Jamaica Hospital and is expected to survive.

The identities of the victims have not yet been released.

There is no word yet on the motive behind the attack.
