Bus driver punched in Belmont, Bronx; suspect flees

BELMONT, Bronx (WABC) -- Police are looking for a man in connection with an attack on an MTA bus driver in the bronx.

Around 6 p.m. on Tuesday, the suspect approached an idle MTA bus at Southern Boulevard and East Fordham Road in the Belmont section.

He punched the driver, a 69-year-old man, twice in the face, then fled, according to the New York City Police Department.

The suspect is described as black, 16 to 19 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet, 150 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black and red hooded sweater, black sweatpants and black sneakers.
