Police search for man with missing fingers in luxury store thefts on East Side

EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- Police are searching for a man accused of stealing from luxury stores on the East Side of Manhattan.

The most recent theft happened at a jewelry store on Park Avenue last week, where police say he stole a $2,400 decorative statue.

Investigator say the same man, who is missing several fingers on both hands, has also stolen a $37,000 fur coat and $4,500 fur coat in previous incidents in March and June.

The unidentified suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 50-60 years old, approximately 5'5" tall with partially bald grey hair.
