GREENWICH VILLAGE (WABC) -- Some New Yorkers gathered Thursday night to honor a teenager killed in a stabbing at a gay pride parade in Jerusalem.

Two Jewish LGBT groups held a solidarity gathering and memorial in Greenwich Village for Shira Banki.

The 16-year-old died Sunday, nearly a week after an anti-gay, ultra-orthodox extremist attacked revelers at Jerusalem's annual celebration.

A judge has ordered a psychiatric evaluation for the accused attacker to see if he is capable of standing trial.
