Man killed in Bronx hit-and-run

MORISSANIA , Bronx (WABC) -- A pedestrian was killed in the Bronx late Monday.

Around 9:40 p.m. Monday, police responded to East 162 Street and Courtlandt Avenue.

Responding officers found an unconscious man with trauma to his head and body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Surveillance video shows the man walking out into the street and collapsing, and then later struck by a car.

The victim was identified as David Pajarito-Mendez, 38, of Brooklyn,.

The investigation is ongoing.
