Police have identified the woman shot and killed with a crossbow in Northeast Philadelphia, allegedly by a man now identified as her husband.

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA -- Police have identified the woman shot and killed with a crossbow in Northeast Philadelphia, by a man now identified as her husband.

The incident was reported just before 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the 3100 block of Willits Road.

Police say 42-year-old Pamela Nightlinger was shot in the chest with a crossbow.

She was rushed to Aria-Torresdale Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

The woman's 41-year-old husband has been taken into police custody.

There is no word at this time on a possible motive.
