Suffolk police: Man wanted in Centereach bank robbery

CENTEREACH, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police are looking for a suspect in a Long Island bank robbery.

The Suffolk County Police Department said around 11:30 a.m. on June 26, a man entered the Peoples United Bank, on Middle Country Road. The man gave a teller a note demanding cash.

The teller complied and the man fled on foot.

The suspect is described as white, between 45 and 50-years-old, and about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a heavy build. He was wearing a black T-shirt, dark jeans, sunglasses and what appears to be a dark-colored baseball hat.
