Police say two men shot inside car in Yonkers were targeted

YONKERS (WABC) -- Police in Yonkers are investigating after two men were shot, one fatally, inside a car Tuesday afternoon.

Police heard gunshots at about 1:36 p.m. in the vicinity of Morningside and Lake Avenues and found the two in a parked vehicle on Morningside.

Both victims were taken to local hospitals, where 33-year old Kenneth Hill of Yonkers was pronounced dead. The second man, a 37-year old Yonkers resident, is in stable condition and is expected to survive.

Police believe the victims were targeted and it was not a random shooting.

Detectives are reviewing video and canvassing the area for possible witnesses.
