DAGSBORO, Del. -- Two men are behind bars, charged with stealing over $15,000 worth of power tools from garages, sheds and utility trailers in Delaware.

Jacob G. Svenson, 33, and Edward J. Nearey Jr., 37, both of Cherry Log Lane in Dagsboro, are charged with multiple counts of burglary, theft, criminal mischief and related offenses.

Delaware State Police say over the last month the suspects targeted neighborhoods in Dagsboro and Selbyville, not far from where the two men shared a residence.

When police raided the suspects' home, they found air compressors, a commercial wood splitter worth $2,200 and dozens of other power tools, all of which had been reported stolen.

Svenson and Nearey were arrested on Thursday and are now both behind bars in lieu of bail.

State Police are working to return the stolen items to their rightful owners.
