NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (WABC) -- Police are looking for suspects who robbed the Hansel 'n Griddle restaurant on Easton Avenue of thousands.
On May 27, two men got out of a white Nissan Altima near the restaurant. Ten minutes later the suspects used a pry bar to get into the side door of the restaurant.
Once inside the restaurant, according to New Brunswick Police Department, the suspects pried open the cash register drawer and removed a safe from the office. The two were picked up by the same vehicle near Easton Avenue and Mine Street. More than $10,000 was taken from the cash register and safe.
The first suspect is described as a black man of average height with a thin build. He was wearing white sneakers with black trim, black baggy cargo pants, a white belt, blue sweatshirt, white work gloves, and a black hat or ski mask.
The second suspect is described as a black man, shorter and stockier than the first suspect, wearing black sneakers with white trim, a gray sweatshirt with black sleeves and hood and an insignia on the chest, and a light colored mask.
