Satellite TV installer from the Bronx found guilty of sexually assaulting 8-year old girl

PATERSON, N.J. (WABC) -- A satellite TV installer from the Bronx has been found guilty of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl, the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office announced Tuesday.

Arcadio J. Nova, 40, sexually assaulted the victim in stairwell of her apartment building while he was preparing to install satellite television in her mother's apartment, authorities said.

Nova was found guilty on charges of sexual assault, aggravated sexual assault, luring or enticing a child, endangering the welfare of a child and kidnapping.

Nova is scheduled to be sentenced on October 2. Kidnapping carries a maximum term of up to life in New Jersey State Prison.

Aggravated sexual assault carries a maximum term of twenty years, while sexual assault and luring each carry maximum terms of ten years and endangering the welfare of a child carries a maximum term of five years.
