Police hunting for suspect who tried to rape woman in her Brooklyn apartment

BUSHWICK (WABC) -- Police are trying to track down the suspect in the attempted rape of a woman in Brooklyn.

According to the NYPD, the incident happened Oct. 2 at about 11:15 p.m., as a 36 year-old woman entered an apartment building in Bushwick.

She was followed by male suspect who engaged her in a conversation. Upon entering her apartment, the suspect followed her in, and attempted to sexually assault her, according to investigators.

The suspect then fled the location on foot to parts unknown.

The suspect is described as in his mid 20's, approximately 5'7", about 170lbs with brown hair.
