Shooting in Bronx in front of McDonald's in Claremont; 1 in custody

3 injured after shooting outside McDonald's in the Bronx

CLAREMONT, Bronx (WABC) -- A woman was shot and a man slashed in front of a McDonald's in the Claremont section of the Bronx Friday night. Another man was also injured by flying glass.

It happened just after 7:30 p.m. at 1625 Webster Avenue.

A 41-year-old woman was shot in the leg, a 22-year-old man was slashed in his right arm, and a 27-year-old man suffered cuts to his face after he was hit with fragments glass after a bullet struck a window of the McDonald's.

All of the injured were outside of the restaurant. Police believe the woman shot was an innocent bystander.

All of the victims are expected to survive.

At least four shots were fired.

Jose Santana, 33, is in police custody. He apparently fit the description of the gunman and was stopped by police. Charges are pending against him.

A gun was recovered at the scene.
