Suspect wanted in connection with slashing woman's throat in Brooklyn arrested

DITMAS PARK, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A suspect wanted in connection with a slashing in Brooklyn is now in custody.

Authorities tell Eyewitness News that police arrested 25-year-old Gregory Alfred in Sayreville, New Jersey. He will be brought back to New York City soon.

Alfred is suspected of cutting the throat of a 53-year-old woman in Ditmas Park last week.

The victim survived the attack, but she needed thirteen stitches.
