Suspect caught on camera snatching woman's purse in Manhattan

NEW YORK (WABC) -- The NYPD wants to identify the man who attacked and robbed a woman this Thursday in Manhattan.

Surveillance video shows the suspect both before and after the purse snatching.

The thief struck on West 28th Street, just off 5th Avenue a bit after 5 a.m.

He grabbed the purse from a 72-year-old woman, causing her to fall to the ground.

She suffered minor injuries.

He got away with some cash, her cell phone, and her purse.
