Suffolk County teens charged with stealing packages from homes

BAYPORT (WABC) -- Suffolk County Police have arrested two teenagers on charges of stealing packages from in front of homes in Bayport and Sayville.

After 911 calls reporting possible thefts of packages delivered to homes, police Tuesday located a vehicle matching the description given by callers on Montauk Highway in Blue Point.

In the vehicle, a Chrysler Sebring, authorities say there were multiple packages that had been taken from homes.

They arrested the two teens in the car, 18-year old Aaron Diaz of East Patchogue and 16-year old Alex Cintorrino of Patchogue.

Both are charged with nine counts of Petit Larceny. Diaz was also charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree for possessing a switchblade.
