AUBURN, Wash. -- Four bystanders are being praised after saving an elderly driver from being struck by a freight train in Auburn, Washington Friday night.

One of the Good Samaritans, Thuong Thach went outside a home to move his car when he watched a car make a wrong turn onto some railroad tracks nearby.

Thach and three others raced to help the man who they said looked confused, but after a while, they convinced him to get out of the car after they realized it couldn't be moved.

Right as the group walked around to the other side, they saw a freight train was barreling down the tracks. The car was crushed.

"We were all in the right place at the right time," said Richie Sanchez, one of the Good Samaritans, "It just happened... everything lined up in the right way for him to be alive still."
