WESTFIELD, New Jersey (WABC) -- There will be a wake Wednesday for a New Jersey high school student fatally struck by a vehicle driven by an off-duty state trooper.

Visitation for 14-year-old Terry DiFalco will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home in Westfield, N.J.

DiFalco's funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Helen Roman Catholic Church in Westfield.

She was crossing Central Avenue in Westfield Saturday night when she was hit. She had reportedly been participating in a scavenger hunt with classmates at the time. It's not clear what caused the crash.

Hundreds gathered Sunday night for an emotional vigil at Westfield High School, where DiFalco was a freshman. They gathered at the scene Sunday, leaving flowers in DiFalco's memory.

The trooper, who stayed at the scene, is not facing charges at this time.
