It turned violent in the snap of a finger.

"He came charging at me, closed fist, and I visually saw that," the victim said. "And I'm like, what am I about to get? Thank God I was able to, I got a glancing blow on the shoulder from the fist. But my phone went flying."

The victim said it didn't end there. As the phone continued recording, pointing skyward after landing in the front yard, the suspect reached for it.

"The phone flies, and I'm trembling at that point," the victim said. "He goes on a mission, trying to kick the fence down."

The homeowner then told his attacker he had a dog inside.

"I don't give a (expletive) about a Rottweiler," the suspect said.

The victim was able to run inside, and then he heard something hit his house. It was his phone, hurled the the assailant, who then fled the scene in his vehicle.

"The escalation was unexpected, and it put me in an immediate state of fear," the victim said.

He said he came out rolling with his camera, because he's had numerous combative run-ins because of his driveway to the point where he had a street sign installed. But it's never turned physical before.

"If I hadn't fled, I expected to have my head crushed," he said.

The victim said he filed a police report on the incident.
