Woman struck by stray bullet while she was sleeping

WYANDANCH (WABC) -- A 26-year-old woman was struck in the knee by a stray bullet as she was sleeping in her Long Island home on Saturday night.

The woman's house, located on Henry Street in Wyandanch was struck by 10 bullets in the drive-by shooting, which occurred just before 11 p.m.

The victim was taken to Good Samaritan where she was treated and released. There were other people in the home at the time, but they were not injured.

The name of the victim has not yet been released. Suffolk County Police are currently investigating the incidents. No arrests have been made.
