Pedestrian hit by bus in North Bergen

NORTH BERGEN, N.J. (WABC) -- A pedestrian was struck by a bus in North Bergen.

The 27-year-old was crossing Bergenline Avenue at 90th Street when he was struck just after 5:50 a.m.

The bus is operated by Academy Bus. No injuries were reported on the bus. The bus has N.J. Transit markings because it leases the bus to Academy, but the bus is operated by Academy.

He was hospitalized with head trauma and facial injuries.

The victim is from New York City.

The bus stopped at the scene in North Bergen. No charges were immediately filed.
