BROOKLYN, N.Y. (WABC) -- Officials are looking for a suspect in a Brooklyn bank robbery.

The FBI said a man went into a bank and threatened to blow himself up earlier this month.

About 5 p.m. on April 13, a man went into Chase bank at 1462 Nostrand Ave. He showed a teller a note demanding cash, then told the teller that he would blow himself up. He appeared to have a remote detonator in his hand, according to the FBI.

It is unclear if the device was real.

The suspect is described as black, about 6 feet tall, and 30 to 40 years old. He was last seen wearing a white baseball hat, a dark denim jacket, glasses and white sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call (212) 384-1000.
