NYPD sergeant charged with raping a teenager

NEW YORK (WABC) -- An NYPD sergeant is charged with raping a teenager.

43-year-old Joel Doseau, stationed in Brooklyn South, is accused of having an ongoing sexual relationship with a girl he met when she was 15.

Doseau is charged with seven counts of rape, one count of use of a child under 17, one count of child under 17 in sexual performance, five counts of promoting a sexual performance, 11 counts of sexual misconduct, three counts of acting in a manner injurious to a child under 17, and 11 counts of sexual abuse.

Doseau is out on bail. His next court date is set for October.
