Teenagers rescued in Long Island Sound after boat overturns

MISSEQUOGUE, L.I. (WABC) -- Two teenagers were rescued in Suffolk County after their boat overturned in the Long Island Sound.

The two were on a catamaran off the coast of Missequogue Saturday when the boat flipped, throwing them into the water.

Both teenagers had on life jackets and were able to hang onto the boat.

After about 90 minuts, a Good Samaratian spotted them and called the Suffolk County Marine Unit.

Officers picked up the teens and towed their boat back to shore.
