NEW YORK (WABC) -- It can be frustrating finding parking on the streets around New York.
But there is new help out there, and you don't have to look any further than your smartphone.
"It's horrible, parking in the city is the worst thing ever, especially with the alternate sides. I hate it," one driver said.
"It's extremely difficult. That's why you see me here, I'm watching, making sure the meter maids don't get me," said another.
Imagine with one swipe of your finger all your parking headaches going away.
With the help of some new apps, that's exactly what a few tech start-ups are now offering drivers in New York City.
Zirx and Luxe are just two of several companies now providing on demand valet service in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
"Easy, fast, cheap, reliable. We park it for them in our secure garages," said J.J. Byars of Zirx.
It's as simple as opening an app, listing your location, and waiting on a valet driver to come pick up and park your car for you.
"When I tested it out it actually removed some of the stress, because I mean one of the biggest problems is you're looking for parking," a driver said
The services are cash free and are all linked to your credit card through the app.
Luxe charges $7 an hour for their all day valet service with a $30 max.
While Zirx, which is only in Brooklyn for now, charges a flat $15 daily fee.
In addition both companies also offer competitive monthly valet parking rates and options for car services, like filling up your tank or even getting an oil change.
Speaking with us via Skype, the CEO of Zirx says the potential for growth in this industry is exponential.
"Parking is a huge industry, $41 billion industry around the world so I think there's lots and lots of room it's a huge market," said CEO Sean Behr.
And while it's certainly a detour from the traditional, the feedback so far for both companies has been promising.
"We thought there would be some resistance from New Yorkers because they're a little more old school but within this community especially in Brooklyn it's been really well received," said Byars.
"It's been overwhelmingly positive, I mean everybody that I've met has loved," said valet driver Ben Fechter. "They're shocked that it's so cheap, they're shocked at how convenient it is."
