Cat rescued after being stuck in tree in Queens for a week

HOLLIS (WABC) -- Rescuers brought down a cat who had been stuck in a tree in Queens.

A woman from Hollis claimed her cat has been stuck in the tree for seven days and was unable to get help.

On Thursday afternoon, the FDNY used a rescue ladder to bring down the cat, a 10-year old girl named Sophia.

She will be taken to a local vet for a checkup.

Chelsea Reid says the cat lives with her grandmother, and went missing on Friday.
