POUGHKEEPSIE (WABC) -- There are new details about a case of animal abuse in Poughkeepsie.

It was caught on camera back in the end of December.

Police say they've identified the man videotaped beating a dog in Pulaski Park.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 37-year-old Theophilus Burke, charging him with animal cruelty.

Police say the dog being abused in the video has been identified as "Gizmo", Burke's dog.

Burke's last known address in Brooklyn has been checked and he is not living there anymore.

It is believed Burke is still living in New York City with Gizmo.
