Pizza delivery driver shoots would-be robber in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania -- A pizza delivery driver shot a would-be robber during an attempted holdup in Northeast Philadelphia.

It happened in the 1400 block of Wellington Street around 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police say the driver was approached by a 19-year-old man, who tried to rob him.

The delivery driver shot the man twice.

He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
