Police: Fetus tossed in trash in Queens

ASTORIA, Queens (WABC) -- Police are investigating after a fetus was tossed in the trash in Queens.

Officials say a woman notified staff at Cornell Hospital that she had a miscarriage and threw the fetus in the garbage. It happened in Astoria just before 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police are now looking to see whether any criminality is involved.
