Past "Drag Race" judges include Lady Gaga, Charlize Theron and Miley Cyrus
LOS ANGELES -- During the premiere episode of "RuPaul's Drag Race" back in February 2009, Fashion Designer Bob Mackie served as a guest judge and over the years so many others have followed including Lady Gaga, Charlize Theron, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, but there are two celebrities the show's producers have not been able to land.
"On The Red Carpet" recently caught up with "RuPaul's Drag Race" producers and World of Wonder co-founders Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato. We talked about Hollywood legend Ruta Lee who appeared as a guest judge in June, and asked about the one celebrity they have not been able to convince to join RuPaul at the judges' table.
"I guess if we had to choose our next dream (host), maybe it's Cher," answered Barbato. He added, "She's flirted with us for year and now we need to get her."
Fenton then added Mariah Carey to their list of "Dream Judges" and sadly added, "It would have been nice to have Richard Simmons."
"RuPaul's Drag Race" has run for 15 seasons with 8 more seasons of "All-Star" competitions. The "Drag Race" franchise has expanded into more than a dozen countries including Germany, Brazil and Australia.
