JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Welcome to the Century Club, Davante Adams.

The New York Jets' wide receiver scored the 100th receiving touchdown of his career with 4:33 remaining in the third quarter Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

It was a vintage fade route from the 1-yard line, with quarterback Aaron Rodgers dropping a feathery pass into a tight window -- a play they've run countless times in their careers. More importantly, it gave the Jets a 17-16 lead.

Adams appeared to have a touchdown on the previous play on a short swing pass, but the replay showed that the ball was outside the pylon in a collision at the goal line. It was a great effort by Adams, and he came up inches short. Maybe Rodgers felt bad for his close friend; he dialed up his number on the next play for the touchdown.
