NEW YORK -- Madison Square Garden was the scene of a special prom celebration Tuesday night.

100 teenagers, ages 14 to 18, took part in the second annual 'Garden of Dreams' prom.

Most of the teens are facing hardships and obstacles in their everyday life.

They wouldn't have otherwise had the chance to experience a prom, if it weren't for the generosity of the Garden of Dreams Foundation.

"We've got 50 kids who are sick, have been sick, battling something, and we have another 50 from the Children's Aid Society who are batting something else," said prom chairwoman Damaris Lewis. "It's amazing to hear all the kids say they can't wait to have fun."

Local makeup artists, hair stylists, restaurants and other businesses donated time and resources, to help make it a magical night for all the attendees.
