SOUNDVIEW (WABC) -- 3-month-old Luna is worn out, but she is back where she belongs - under the dining room table in the Soundview section of the Bronx. The Husky pup has been through quite an ordeal.
"It's sad, it's scared to be with people - he doesn't play like he used to play before, it's going to take a few days" says Gaudencio Rosendo.
Police say someone broke into Gaudencio's home on Tuesday, ransacked the apartment, took cash and other items. Not only did the intruders snatch up Luna, they also terrorized three other pets by shooting them with a paint ball gun and pepper spray.
"How can people do that to animals?" says Gaudencio.
The family was offering a $500 reward, and on Friday morning they got a hit - someone calling about the cash, but that person wanted $1,000. Gaudencio called police, but at the 43rd Precinct, detectives went and met up with the people who allegedly found Luna tied up outside.
Collin Small didn't want to show his face to Eyewitness News cameras, but police have now charged the 21-year-old and a 15-year-old who left the precinct with his parents on Friday night. They are both charged with criminal possession of stolen property.
