FOREST HILLS (WABC) -- The family has increased the reward to $50,000 for help in finding the driver responsible for the hit-and-run death of a jeweler Sunday.

The new sum includes $10,000 donated by boxer Floyd Mayweather.

Police are also using new video to help find the driver in incident.

The victim, 40-year-old Aron "Eric" Aranbayev of Queens, was taken to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition and died on Monday. Aranbayev was a known jeweler to the stars and worked in the Diamond District in Midtown.

On Wednesday, police classified the incident as a homicide. The incident happened just after 11 p.m. Sunday at 110th Street and 71st Avenue in Forest Hills.

It is believed that Aranbayev and the driver of the car who struck him were in a dispute; police said they think Aranbayev was dropped off in front of his house as car sped by. When he yelled at the car to slow down, the driver reversed at the same speed, hit Aranbayev then drove away.

Police are looking for a dark-colored Dodge Magnum with possible front drivers side damage. The driver of the car left the scene.

The family is posting its own reward of at least $35,000.
